My thoughts for you

My thoughts for you

La Piel que Habito (The Skin I live in)First post EVER! Pretty excited I must say. I dedicate this one to my mom for always being there for me and supporting me through the tough times of creating and editing this new blog of mine and thanks to the ACADEMY! <- I do thank my mom though, she was the one who told me to watch the film.
This movie is by far one of the best ones I have seen recently…MUST WATCH. The film (I do NOT condone spoilers) is a twisted psychological thriller of a plastic surgeon (Antonio Banderas) and his stay at home patient (Elena Anaya) who is used for his “medical findings” for non-burning skin. The scenes go a couple years back only to introduce a new character (Jan Cornet) which connects with the plastic surgeon. I will say no more! It is actually bothering me that I cannot share the fascinating revelation of the plot but what I should mention is that this film is by Almodovar. For those who do not know he is a well known spanish filmmaker (known for Volver, Broken Embraces and many older movies I need to get started on watching). What I mostly loved about the film was the development of the characters and how everything was given to you by pieces. It felt like I was unwrapping a gift with many layers of paper and in the center was this magnificent movie that basically blew my mind, only because I was so oblivious of the truth. The movie is in spanish with english subtitles I really recommend this… I’m actually going to watch it again this week to see my response a second time. Adios!
